This year Park will be totally involved and committed to our new schoolwide behavior program, PBIS, which stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.
The program is designed to promote correct behavior in a positive and nurturing manner and involves all areas of the school day from the cafeteria to the buses! Expectations and rules for positive behavior have been designed by staff and students and have been posted all over the school. These expectations are: Be Prepared, Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be an Active Learner. Students daily review the expectations and can earn "Paw Prints" for use in our new School Store just by "being good"! Thanks to the PBIS Team for working so hard to make our school a better place.
Visit the Louisiana-based positive behavior website and the East Baton Rouge Parish School System PBIS website for more information.
