The school improvement plan
assesses the school's strengths and weaknesses, implements strategies and activities to address the school's needs, and continually evaluates the school's progress toward achieving its objectives and meeting its goals. The plan focuses on improving student achievement at the school by addressing state goals and performance standards.

Directions for Analyzing Parent Survey Reports

                                                                                                                                

Condensed Item Analysis

The Condensed Item Analysis (CIA) Report includes summary data for all questions asked on the survey.  This analysis provides the frequency of each response (how many parents chose it), the percent of parents who chose it, and a bar graph representing this data. The word “Missing” indicates an answer was omitted.

Analysis Group Report

The Analysis Group Report (AGR) includes analysis of the responses from the parent survey.  The column on the report labeled the “Mean” is the average of the total number of responses.  Values to the four possible choices are:

A cluster of questions concerning safety were developed around targets in the Strategic/Accountability Plan.  There is a mean for the safety targets that can be used as baselines and comparison scores in school and district improvement plans.
